Highfield Historic Site, Tasmania

A brief description follows:The Van Diemen’s Land Company was granted large holdings in Tasmania in 1825 and chose Stanley as their centre of operations. Highfield house was constructed in 1832 with extensions by architect John Lee Archer in the 1840s.
