Waves

Waves moving across water are a natural phenomenom; rhythmic swelling of unfettered energy formed by wind and weather conditions, alive on virtually any body of water from small lakes to mighty oceans. Waves come in a variety of shapes and sizes, are beautiful, colourful, placid, playful, calming, dangerous, destructive, powerful, hollow, rideable; and the list goes on. Further they are unique as no two waves are exactly the same.

The Colors of Autumn

Autumn or Fall is my favourite time, especially this year in the Central Highlands of Victoria, after a mild summer, the changing leaves on our wide variety of trees have been spectacular.

You don’t really have to be a car lover to appreciate the beauty of a classic car. People gather annually at car meets to exhibit their treasured possessions and share their love of automobiles. Most of these images were taken at such a ‘meet’ at Hanging Rock in Victoria.

The Subtleties of Flora

A selection of flowers, leaves and berries, close up and in some cases abstract. I love to have a little fun with nature, using specific focal points and blur – for me its the medley of colour blends that evokes a feeling of softness and beauty.

Humpback Whales (Linda Laing)

Once hunted to the edge of extinction, Humpback Whales can now be found in reasonable numbers. Unfortunately the threat of Whale hunting is back on the agenda and these magnificent creatures may once more be under threat, all because certain parts of the world have to eat Whale meat.
