Carloway Broche – Scotland. A new set of stock photos by Michaela Perryman Dun Carloway is on the Isle of Lewis off the west coast of Scotland. Built around the 1st Century BC, the ruin commands outstanding views out across the crofting land. Last occupied around 1300 BC. The outer wall in one place still stands at 9 metres in height and is 14-15 metres in diameter at the base. It was a dry stone build, that is without mortar.
